CarCrafter Terms of Service

1. What CarCrafter Does

CarCrafter lets you upload a photo of your vehicle, generate AI-produced visualizations of potential modifications, and search for associated parts listings from third-party retailers. The Service is currently in beta. Renders and parts results are generated or ranked using AI systems and are visual or informational approximations only — they are not guarantees of fit, appearance, availability, compatibility, safety, legality, or price of any actual part or modification. CarCrafter is not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer, parts retailer, or marketplace.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service. You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Let us know immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Credits and Payments

• Builds and certain features are unlocked using credits purchased through Stripe. Unless otherwise stated at checkout, purchases are one-time payments for credits, not subscriptions.
• A credit is used for a complete build experience as described on the Service (typically an AI image generation and its related matched-parts search). Exact inclusions shown at checkout control.
• Prices for credit packages are listed on the Service and may change at any time; changes will not affect credits already purchased.
• All purchases are final. Credits are non-refundable except where required by law or at our sole discretion.
• Unused credits do not expire solely because of the passage of time, but we may suspend or terminate access as described in these Terms. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue credit packages, pricing, or features at any time.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload images you don't have the right to use, or images depicting anyone other than a vehicle you have rights to (e.g., not someone else's car without permission)
• Use the Service to generate or distribute unlawful, infringing, or harmful content
• Attempt to bypass credit/paywall systems, rate limits, or security measures
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or resell access to the Service without our written permission
• Use automated means (bots, scripts) to access the Service outside of normal use

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Renders, Parts Listings, and Accuracy

• Renders are AI-generated visual approximations. They may not perfectly reflect how a modification would look, fit, or perform on your actual vehicle. Results can vary by photo quality, angle, lighting, and selected modifications.
• Parts listings and fitment suggestions are informational only. Listings may be sourced, ranked, or summarized using automated systems and third-party retailers or marketplaces. We do not control third-party pricing, availability, fitment claims, shipping, returns, or seller reliability. Always verify part specifications, fitment, and seller terms before purchasing.
• We are not a parts seller, installer, or mechanic. We are not responsible for any purchase, installation, vehicle damage, injury, citation, warranty impact, or other outcome based on a render, parts listing, or other content shown in the Service.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of the photos you upload. By uploading a photo, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and use that image solely to provide the Service to you (including sending it to our AI processing provider to generate your render). We do not use your uploaded photos to train AI models or share them for any purpose beyond operating the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual Property

The CarCrafter name, branding, website, and underlying software are our property. You may not copy, modify, or use them without permission. Renders generated for you through the Service are yours to use personally (e.g., sharing on social media), but the underlying technology remains ours.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that renders, parts listings, or fitment information will meet your expectations or requirements.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CarCrafter and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including purchases, installations, or vehicle decisions based on renders or parts listings. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CarCrafter and its operators from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, your purchases from third parties, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or for any other reason at our discretion, with or without notice.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your place of residence require otherwise. Before filing a formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
